  • Ashland: Ashland - Boutique Town

Ashland is a boutique town in numerous ways. An amazing destination for restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The town itself is charming with the old victorian houses and darling shops. Lithia park is a wonderful place right in town with perfect paths, small waterfalls and open areas. The restaurants: Deeps (Indian), Muse (French), Chateulein (French) and Morning Glory (best breakfast) are some of my favorites. The Hotel Ashland is elegant. You feel as though you are stepping into another era. The furnishings are lavish, service imppecable and the restaurant very good. Ashland is home of the Shakespeare Festival. If Shakespeare is not your choice you can pick from various plays by other playwrights. There are wonderful day trips you can take while staying in Ashland. The Oregon Caves, Crater Lake and Jacksonville are just a few. My husband and I have been attending the Shakespeare Festival annually for five years. We meet his friends there who have been flying from Iowa to attend for over 20 years. Every year I fall more and more in love with this town. The only draw back to Ashland is during the Shakespeare Festival hotels fill up. You will need to make your reservations well in advance.
