Microbrew? Try the Lucky Labrador Brewing Company

Portland is the greatest city for Microbrew lovers! Since the '80's, PDX has sprung more great micorbreweries than any other city in the world.

My tip is to try the Lucky Labrador on SE 9th & Hawthorne for a great array brews in a rustic warehouse. Snack on peanuts, have a tasty sandwich or an asian bento. Better yet, bring your dog with you as they are welcome in the outside seating. It's my favorite spot!

Only down side is that familes are bringing their young kids to the pub, making for a loud scene.

Another suggestion would be to take your time and try a new pub each week. It will take you most of the year to get to all of them in the PDX area. You'll find some that you really like, some that you won't, but it will be worth it!

Swan Island

It always seems that when I'm in Portland. I'm looking for a place to eat breakfast and get ready for my long day of meetings. As it turns out. My first meeting was in Swan Island. This is a commercial area that doesn't leave you allot of options for eating. As it turns out I found a great little place. It is Anna's Island Cafe. It is located at 4715 N. Lagoon Avenue - Portland - OR - 97217. (503) 285-4891. The food was very good, and the service was nice as well. It is also a coffee bar, so you can get great coffee's with you food. I had breakfast, but noticed that they have a lunch and dinner menu as well. If you are looking down in that area, and want to grab a bite to eat. This is a great option for a fair price.

Check out the new Whiskey Bar and Grill - 12th & Washington

Hot new spot now open in downtown. Great food - had a New York strip and the breakfast fried rice. I know your thinking breakfast fired rice? It was awesome - I would highly recommend this spot!
