Canyon Life Museum, 143 Wall St., Mill City, Oregon, United States
This small, but mighty, museum is a work of love and passion from some of the loyal locals, spearheaded by a retired high school English teacher, Mrs. Fleetwood. Not only have they recreated some of the North Santiam Canyon's most wonderful historical days, they have restored the long abandoned train depot to sparkle near the wonderful North Santiam River falls at Mill City.
The displays are well planned and of interest to anyone caring to understand how life in this canyon has changed over the years.
Recommend you call ahead for open hours or to arrange to have it open for you (groups).

The Grand Cafe, 832 SE Grand Ave, Portland, Oregon, United States
Really disappointed in the service at the Grand Cafe. This place markets it self as a location for bachelorette parties and the like - but they are very ill equipped to handle large parties. Our waitress would come by, take half the tables order, and then not return for a long while. When we were leaving, she closed everyone's tab out - then disappeared before closing mine out.

Vino Vixens Wine Bar, 2929 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, Oregon, United States
Very fun spot for a girls get together. I attended a Bachelorette Party here on Saturday evening and we had a great time tasting some great wines. The owner is fantastically knowledgeable and also fun to hang out with! I picked up some great wines at really reasonable prices.

Lake Selmac Campground, 2 Miles off Highway 99, Selma, Oregon, United States
Very much enjoyed the campground and the Bluegrass Festival held in July. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and sit facing the lake while listening to some of the good "hometown" artists of our area. Date is July 18, 2009
