Really nice place in downtown Salem. It surprised me a bit, as it's located in the conference center.... have a drink, the onion rings or a pizza (recommend the smoked salmon one). And: free wireless internet in the entire dining room.

Good hi-end dining in Salem
For casual Salem, this high-end restaurant in the Phoenix Grand Hotel provides excellent local cuisine. Lunches are busy with business people; reservations recommended. Ambience is lovely, with an open circular fire pit and expansive bar. Great for a dinner date to impress, or a martini happy hour after work. They offer wine tasting Tues. nights (last I checked).
