Peavy Arboretum is located 8 miles north of Corvallis on Hwy. 99W. Visitors can enjoy several interpretive hikes through this beautiful area. The 40-acre Arboretum features a variety of native and exotic plant species.
Peavy Arboretum is just a small part of OSU's Mcdonald Research Forest which is part of the Department Forestry. They have hundreds or different tree and plant species and overall this is a great place to just go hike around at. There is a huge network of trails to choose from that go past streams and trees that are hundreds of years old. There is also a pavilion that can be rented out for special events the phone number is (541) 737-6702. I am pretty sure that it has to be reserved if you want to use it. But summer walks here are simply BEAUTIFUL.
