Nature center and wildlife hospital for birds of prey. Visit over 60 permanent resident birds of 31 species. Open to the general public Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Field trips, group tours or other days by appointment.
This is a great place for kids to see birds of prey up close and learn more about their habitats. There are some nice trails that lead you around the grounds. Some hills but not too step. There are also nature talks so check out times on their website.

Cascades Raptor Center is a great outdoor stop. It's a short drive, but out in the country, next to Eugene's great Ridgeline Trail (12 mile long hiking trail with several jumping on/off points).
The Raptor Center rehabilitates birds, but some cannot be re-introduced and these become permanent residents in huge outdoor cages that provide an up-close inspection opportunity.
Great variety, wonderful ambiance. Very casual, and also an obviously caring place.
Really great for families.
