Displays at the Museum range form native Americans to Linn County cities, manufacturing, and agriculture.
My family and I enjoyed the Linn County Historical Museum. Tooling around the historic little town of Brownsville on a Saturday afternoon, it was great to find the Linn County Historical Museum open. It is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside, since it is actually three train cars linked together. It's also free. My kids liked looking at all the neat museum pieces, but especially that we could sit in the little movie theater and choose an historical film to watch. Pairing the museum with lunch at the Corner Cafe and a visit to Pioneer Riverpark, which has a great playground, made for a fun and low-cost outing.
