The Brass Ring

This is the neatest place to visit! The Historic Carousel and Museum Project is really a special place. All the people who work there are volunteers (retired) and they are so eager and excited to tell their story about the animals they are working on to complete the Dentzel style carousel in Albany. Each animal takes 1000 hours to complete and they will have 52. They carousel should be finished by 2010, so mark your calendar. The craftmanship and detail of these animals and characters is truly amazing. I would definitely recommend visiting before and after the carousel is complete.
