  1. Stinky Cheese

Stopped by Rogue Creamery in tiny Central Point and what a cool place. The outside of the Creamery just welcomes you in with its funky, old facade. Once inside the staff are super friendly and invite you to try their different, award winning cheeses. Since my traveling partner and I LOVE to make up words....the Rogue Creamery stole our hearts with their "Oregonzola"--we had to buy a 1/2 pound of this award winning cheese just because of the name! They also carry other cheeses...like another of our favorites...Cowgirl Creamery from California. We bought a round of the Red Hawk Cheese which is sooo stinky but sooo good. Coolest thing is that we were traveling and for a couple bucks we bought an insulated bag and an ice pack. Kept all the cheeses fresh and refrigerated until we could make it to our hotel room. Great experience!

  2. ROGUE CREAMERY IN CENTRAL POINT

A trip to Southern Oregon should include a visit to the Rogue Creamery in Central Point. I visited the creamery in January and was very impressed that such a small operation could produce nationally and internationally recognized cheeses. At the shop, you can sample several of their fine cheeses as well as purchase cheese and anything that you might want for a picnic. The creamery provides occasional tours for groups.
