Mill tours available daily. Retail sales of men's, women's clothing and blankets.
This free factory tour at the original Pendleton Woolen Mills is a treat. Apparently they have been making Indian trade blankets in this location for almost 100 years. In fact next year is their 100th anniversary and I have heard they are gearing up for that event. The tour itself is very interesting and it is great fun to see the blankets on the looms. This tour is only about 20 minutes and they share a lot of history of the company. There is also a retail store and an outlet for blankets, fabric and other misc. items. On top of that they just added a small museum that includes items from the private collection of C.M. Bishop, Jr. (Mort). This company is a big part of this regions history and well worth the time.
