I remember going to this museum when I was much younger--the only memory that stayed with me was of all the petrified wood samples. Now, kids might accidently learn something while having fun.
We enjoy the outdoors, so much here spoke to our interests. We also played with the various interactive devices--once we could get a turn after the school field trip departed!
If you haven't been here for awhile, give it a try.

We went here on a whim on a cold December afternoon; the place was not too crowded. The exhibits trace the history of forests - both here in Pacific NW and the world and the impact on them from man's actions...without being "preachy."
If nothing else, you'll come away with a new found appreciation for forests/trees and why sustainable development is fundamental for the health of the forests. Take a stroll through Washington Park afterwards!
