Alameda Brewhouse brings to Portland fresh made-from-scratch meals and the finest hand-crafted ales available. Known for their herbal beers, like the Spring Rose Dopplebock, Juniper Porter and Zeppelin Sage Fest bier. British style ales like the English Bitter, Wee Heavy and Pale Ale dominate the house selection that gives a nod to Old World recipes done with a N.W. flair. Located in the Beaumont District of N.E. Portland, this beautiful brewpub is open everyday from 11:30--11pm.
The food here is fantastic! I've been to Alameda Brew Pub at least two dozen times and the service has always been great......until today. For the first time ever, I went here by myself. I wasn't dressed up or anything, just went in shorts and a t-shirt on a Sunday afternoon. All I wanted was a rueben sandwich, a white-russian and a glass of water. The waitress (her name was "Faithe") was shockingly rude; as soon as I said 'white russian' she turned on her heel and BOLTED away before I could say 'hey....umm...some water too maybe?' There were only FOUR tables seated, it's not like they were busy......and she was totally chatty and friendly with all 3 of the other tables she had to work with......but for me it seemed like I wasn't welcome here at all, and the sooner I could leave the better. She put forth no effort whatsoever to smile or be friendly at all....and when she made her requisite visit to my table to ask 'how things were going' she was moving at least 8 mph and she only had THREE other tables.
Like I said, the food here is excellent but I guess the next time I go back I'll make more of an effort to dress up so I'm not treated like the local riff-raff. I'm a corporate executive who makes over 80K a year and I didn't feel like I was good enough to actually stay a while and hang out. I've encountered better customer service skills at McDonald's and those people only make minimum wage. Thanks alot Faithe, I really hope whoever trained you sees this.

The food and service are great! They are kinda spendy but the place is awesome. They brew their own beer and it is an all around good place. Parking is tricky, usually have to park on a side street but my husband and I would recommend to any of our friends! Its a must try!
