Yaquina Bay lighthouse was built in 1871, but is no longer in use today. Due to this, a few ghost stories have been told about this particular lighthouse. Visitors can tour the lighthouse itself, as well as a gift shop in its basement and its antique period furniture.
but it was a few years ago. there was a lot of seaweed flies. my ma and brother wer entering the lighthouse. my and my pa were walking up the path when we saw a lady in black on the roof. we told the tour guy about it and he said it might be the ghoust of a young woman who vanished one day. her name was muriel. they could not find her anywhere. he also said the roof was locked so no one could get up there. after we were inside i went upstairs to find my ma. they were observing the rooms. they first saw the closet rattling. my brother, henry, opened the door but there was nothing there. they went to another doorway. (the rooms were blocked off by a rope. if you touched the rope an alarm would go off.) he leaned over the rope and the alarm went off, but the rope was untouched. later, we went into the stairway.(dad was still door in the basement) henry had a disposable camera and was taking pictures. the first picture was fine. the next one was different though. as soon as he pressed the flash we heard a faint scream. it was the same for the next three pictures. after we ventured the rest of the building we went home. a month later some strange things started to happen........
