Tillamook Forest Center
Be among the first to visit the brand new Tillamook Forest Center, a beautiful-and sustainable-interpretive center built along the Wilson River on a landscape that was once devastated by a series of fires in the 1930s and 40s (known as The Six Year Jinx). Through interactive exhibits, a 40-foot tall replica of a fire lookout tower, classroom areas-even a movie theater-the Center shows us the many ways our lives connect with the forest. Surrounding the center are walking trails, benches and picnic areas, as well as a pedestrian-only suspension bridge that spans the Wilson River. Check out the forest-theme gift shop.

Tillamook Cheese Visitors Center
What a great place to stop with your family! Tillamook Ice Cream is the greatest (get a waffle cone with two scoops!). Their burgers are really good, too! Of course you can sample the cheese they produce, and during the week you can watch the packaging department from the cool viewing area upstairs. Only bad thing is that the packaging is closed on Weekends (I don't get that part, due to the fact that more people probably come on weekends and they'll be disappointed about this). In either case, it's a fun stop whether you're on vacation or a weekend outing. IT IS A MUST SEE/TASTE EXPERIENCE!
