Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs originated in the Wasco, Deschutes, and Walla Walla areas. These tribes have been known for such skills as fishing, trading, and basket weaving. Many traditions remain strong today, including three annual religious feasts which celebrate roots, salmon and berries. The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs established their own government in 1938 and have since developed world-class tourist attractions such as Kah-Nee-Ta Resort—where you can have the time of your life in deluxe spa-like facilities, complete with swimming, hot springs, waterslides, tennis and saunas—and the renowned 27,000 square foot Warm Springs Museum, where you can discover Native American history.
