Old St. Francis School - Redo
The rooms are very nice at McMenamins Old St Francis school, but I was a little disappointed that they are redone to resemble log cabins, instead of being restored/updated to their original classroom feel as has been done in other McMenamins. The location is great. One of the few places to stay within walking distance of downtown. The restaurant/bar is typical McMenamins menu and decor. The food is good, and the staff is always friendly, and they do have some outside seating. The price is reasonable considering the price of staying in Bend, and the extra benefits of a movie theater, and a soaking pool. Make your reservation in advance, this is a busy place. I know we'll be staying there again.
