Here's a very chic, trendy, boutique (somewhat historic) hotel. Perfect for the foreign traveler. Limited number of rooms but has an awesome rooftop terrace that overlooks NW Portland. Some or all rooms have kitchenette with balconies, dig the colors & classy décor. A block from the Wildwood restaurant and nearby Max/streetcar line. Complimentary Starbursts in lobby and Voss purified water. Rooms on the end (where I stayed) are noisy due to the elevator/stairs across the narrow hall. Sort of reminded me of a dorm living with a "Jetsons"-onville decor feel. They offer (for those who may have forgotten: tooth brushes/paste, shower cap and mending kits. Safe deposit boxes offered at front desk no charge.

When any family or friends come in for a visist I always direct them to this fun, funky fresh hotel! Its close to 23rd and Pearl shopping while RIGHT on the street car line to get folk into downtown and over to Burnside to hit up Powels Books. A big hit for the visitors. Bright lively environment with friendly helpful staff. Great place to be!
