Round-Up Concerts make a great Kick off event

Every year the Round-Up & Happy Canyon brings in a big name act for a concert. This concert kicks off a week long celebration that has something for everyone. Some past performers include; Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bently, Reba Mcentire, Joe Nichols, Leann Rimes, Sarah Evans. This year 2009 Rodney Atkins and Reckless Kelley will be performing and it promises to be a great show!

Let 'r buck

This is a wild and wooly western good time. practically the whole town is on holiday and its a week long party. Order your tickets and get your room reservations early because it fills up fast. Plan to spend the whole week in Pendleton because there is something happening from Saturday to Saturday.

A real rodeo

In Eastern Oregon the real Wild West is still alive and it is best experienced in September at the annual Pendleton Round-up. This rodeo has a very friendly atmosphere, everybody is having a good time (especially in the bar under the grand stand, where people misbehave so badly that all cameras and cell phones with cameras have to be handed over before entering ...).
The skills shown by the cowboys and cowgirls are truly amazing. Ask one of the locals to explain the different competitions. Elimination contests are held during the week, the finals take place on the weekend.
If you plan to come, book your hotel well in advance!
