We visited here for weekend brunch and they had a wonderful variety with egg dishes, fresh fruit, etc. We also couldn't pass up dessert. They have a beautiful display of cakes that are almost too beautiful to eat! If you are a chocolate lover try the rasberry chocolate gateau or triple chocolate torte.
It was a very busy place so you could find a wait but they do accept reservations except for Friday night and Saturday.

Papa Haydn has become one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. A great place for dinner but it is best known for dessert. Try the Chocolate Cube or the Baccone Dolce! A great place to take a date or just meet with friends. Outdoor seating is available in the summer and is a great way to do some people watching on 23rd. There can be a long wait in the evenings on the weekends, and to sit outside on a nice day, but it has always been worth the wait! I highly recommend Papa Haydn!

While Papa Haydn serves appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, the vast majority of people come here for dessert. And they come in droves as this is one of the best places to get cakes and other sweets in town. Even the steep prices of $7.50 for a piece of cake do not keep people from lining up to wait for a table. Locals know the food is worth the wait.
