Great Anniversary Place
It seems like a long time ago now but it was really only about 5 years ago. My husband, who was just my "boyfriend" at the time, spent our first anniversary as a couple at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch. We wanted to do something special since it was going to be our first official "year" together so we got a room at the hotel one weekend. It was wonderful! We loved the pools and the location to everything in and around Scottsdale. We had an awesome time and we always remember our first anniversary together as being one of our best because of the Hyatt.

Best waterslide and more
Yes, this resort has over 10 pools, hundreds of really nice rooms, a lake where you can take romantic gondola rides (just like in Venice), 2 excellent golf courses and several top restaurants. But nobody mentions the best thing this hotel has to offer: a kick-ass waterslide. Granted, it is not as big as in a water park but here the slide is included in your room rate. The slide is located in a 3 story tower on the main pool. We prepared to wait in line for your turn with lots of shivering kids during school holidays ...
