Great Happy Hour!

I love our neighborhood bar 23 Hoyt! It is 2 blocks down the street from where I work and I just LOVE their happy hour! The food is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The bar is beautiful and their bartenders and hostesses are always friendly and welcoming. The grilled fresh sweet prawns (when in season) are phenomenal! Another yummy treat is their red potato fries dusted with good toasted paprika. I am looking forward to try the burger next time as informed by the bartender it is an all time fav!

It is nice to stop in to order a little something to eat to perk up my mood after work and before driving home during the week. I always feel comfortable and welcomed at this great bar on NW 23rd. Just love it!

23Hoyt not worth it

As much as I wanted to like this restaurant, it was just too expensive, too cramped, and too pretentious. Our table wasn't ready when we got there, so we tried to get a seat at the small bar (there were none), where we were ignored by the bartender until we were seated at our table. The table was located right next to a large bay window for every passerby to watch us. It was also less than a foot away from tables on either side, and we were seated next to a rather loud and large party. The menu was limited and confusing. The food was good, but overly expensive for how much you received. The staff was curt and looked impatient the entire time. If privacy and accommodating service are what you are looking for, skip this place!
