History? Yes. Flavor? No. The bar is beautiful dark wood from yester-year and has lots of historic photographs of the area in the hallways. Do stick to the bar to enjoy a cocktail or two, do not bother venturing into the dining room. Although they have lots of fresh fish and seafood options, none (that I've tried - and I've been here 4 times now) are standouts. Ditto on the dessert offerings. The service has always been attentive, yet not polished. I feel the atmosphere is more Olive Garden than fine dining, and given the price for a complete meal (NOTE: fish/seafood is market price, and not inflated) I expect more.
Overall, I want to like this place because of it's history, however, I feel like it is just another chain restaurant.
