The food was bland. The Lamb smelled rotten and the rolls were hard as rocks. Out of our table of 9, (yes we had reservations for over a week so they were expecting us) all meals were beyond bad. Several were not edible. We drank up our drinks which were okay, paid for all of our horrid food and then went across the street to Tuk Tuk and fantastic Thai food. The server was rude and the owner even more of a jerk. Do not waste your time and money. Go for drinks if you want to experience the (ambiance) of Fife, which is actually terrible as well, loud echo filled gymnasium sounding. Then go to Alameda Brewhouse or Tuk Tuk. Also Perry's on Fremont is pretty good as well.

I was just back at Fife for dinner for my mother in laws 81st birthday. They did a very nice job of taking care of a table of 6 people not paying very good attention.
The food at Fife is always excellent, the specialty cocktail is inventive and always has an unusual twist. Our dinner's ran the gamut of the menu and I have to say each dish was prepared with creativity without being odd. This is one of those menus that looks pretty traditional until you get into the preparation and realize they have freshened up the sauce in an unexpected way.
I highly recommend Fife.
