Western Hospitality! What a Kick!

I heard the best story today and I just had to share it! Recently a couple from British Columbia found themselves unfortunate victims of a vehicle breakdown and found themselves at the door step of Ziegler Transmission & Auto Repair. Charles the front desk guy is a great ambassador and represents the spirit of Pendleton’s Western Hospitality. The car repair was going to take a little while so Charles gave the couple a great run down of ways to fill their time with all the fun Pendleton has to offer. He also made a lunch recommendation and off the couple went to explore. They stopped in at the Main St. Diner, a 50’s style diner with the best milk shakes! Larry the owner visited with the couple as did a couple of the other diners which made the couple realize just how friendly Pendleton truly is! The food was great and as they were thanking Larry for his hospitality they also inquired for their bill. Larry informed them that the couple that was sitting next to them had heard their story and felt bad about their vehicle breakdown and had picked up their lunch tab. The couple could hardly believe that strangers would have such kind hearts as to do this and they left the restaurant smiling. When they went to go pick up their car they were bubbling over and shared with Charles what great hospitality they had experienced and thanked him for sharing it with them. They also said they would plan to come back real soon when they could stay a few days.
