Cute town

La Grande is a cute little town smack dab in the middle of a beautiful valley. surrounded by some breathtaking mountains. There is a University, Eastern Oregon University, a thriving artsy community, art walks, studio tours and all kinds of stuff to do. We spent the day hiking around and found some pretty camping spots and even fished in the Grande Ronde river. There is a ski area, Anthony Lakes, but in the summer it is great for hiking. They have a farmers market and a small but fun downtown area. There are all kinds of cafes and coffee places to sit and people watch. But the best part is the scenery, mountains in all directions.
