Loved it all!
I've been to many wineries but this one was most enjoyable with great wine and fabulous owners. Jim and Jeanne are very welcoming and it's easy to relax and just enjoy! The alpaca's (gotta meet Alex!) are cute and a real kick for kids and parents alike!

A Must See and Taste
As a long time Cabernet lover, I was very impressed with the quality, care and pride the Dividians displayed in their tasting room, gift shop and alpaca farm. But, back to the wine first: it is exquisite and should be recognized for it's excellence. I bought a case on my first visit! This wine should be tasted and invested in because it is certain to increase in popularity and price. The trip to Caprice has something for everyone in the family - stop by and see for yourselves!

An incredible experience!
Last May 09, four Wisconsin girlfriends had the pleasure and excitement of visiting our good friends Jeanne and Jim Davidian, who own and run the Caprice Vineyards. It is just outside of Jacksonville.
We spent a week with them, watching how they run their business, enjoying life with them, in their home and on their land. We even helped them with the alpacas and in the vineyard. There is a gift shop just outside of their home, with handmade alpaca products and many things from the Andes. Jeanne will even show you how to spin the alpaca wool if you'd like.
And of course there is wine tasting and the wine is excellent!
They will show you around the property which includes many alpacas and their babies, two llamas and the vineyard. It is ideal for families, friends and children - just anyone. Do NOT miss these great people and the wonderful experience!- 0 people found this review helpful

Great wine and beautiful setting
Caprice vineyards is truly a unique place to visit. Along with a quaint outdoor patio under a grape arbor with beautiful mountain views, they have an alpaca farm with very friendly alpacas that our grandchildren really enjoyed.
The wine is truly top quality and the ambiance and gracious hosts provides a great tasting experience. The location is nice being only 5 minutes from Jacksonville.
Jeannie's gift shop has both hats that she has hand spun and a wonderful assortment of products from the Andes.

A Must-See in the Jacksonville/Medford/Ashland area
I bring all my friends and out of town visitors to this wine tasting room, because it offers so much more than just wine tasting!
First, you have the friendliest proprietors you can imagine: Jeanne and Jim Davidian. Don’t you love feeling truly welcomed when you arrive somewhere? That is the warmth you will experience at Caprice Vineyards.
Second, the wine is first-rate and the tasting is extra fun because you are inside a boutique, with lots of alpaca products like hats and sweaters. Jeanne can even show you how she spins the alpaca fiber. Members of your party who aren’t tasting can browse the shop. That makes it fun for the whole group. I have purchased several alpaca products from them and I am so satisfied with the high quality. Alpaca fiber is so warm and so soft!
Third, another big advantage to this destination is the alpacas on site, plus their two guard lamas. The Davidians will show you the animals and answer all your questions. They often have baby alpacas, which provide awesome photo ops. That part of their operation is Rolling Hills Alpacas.
Allow ample time because this is a special stop. Then head into Jacksonville, a quaint historic town with many high-quality shops and restaurants. You will make great memories with this excursion!
