Sophie's is just right for Hood River. With the area being known for its fresh produce, this restaurant fits right in. Local and organic (when available) products are used throughout the menu, and much of the produce comes from their own farm. The menu changes frequently based, I'm sure, on what's fresh, available, and good! Our group enjoyed the nightly special of scallops in a corn sauce (which isn't the exact name - but it was fantastic), the tempura squash blossoms, mixed fresh salad greens with figs, and superb burgers with walla walla sweet onion rings! Local wines and beers are also available.
Opens at 5:30 Wednesday through Saturday - as of Sept. 09.
