Pendleton Underground Tour

My family and I recently went on the Underground Tour of Pendleton Oregon. If you like the Old West the good and bad of it, this tour is a must see.

The tour starts in a underground western saloon and finishes in a time capsule of sort; a place that church goer's of the day would avoid. The tour covers Cowboys, Gold Miner's, the plight of the Chinese Worker's were they lived and played. Places like: opium dens, ice cream parlors, speak-easy's and Cozy Rooms. Unlike other vanilla tours this one has the full impact of all your senses.

This summer we also went to San Antonio and visited the Alamo; truly a place of heroic proportions and deeds. The Pendleton Underground Tour is not a place of heroic deeds but was more interesting and covers a different part of the Western experience. Diffidently a must see when in Pendleton.
