No wonder I hadn’t heard of this place until recently—the locals have been hiding the secret! I stumbled upon DiPrima just a short distance west of Interstate and was met with friendly and fast service. A solid menu of coffee, pastries and sandwiches made deciding difficult, but Tony’s Turkey sandwich (complete with turkey fresh off the bone, romaine, garlic artichoke hearts and smoked provolone on freshly baked bread) won my favor. As savory as the sandwich and accompanying Italian soda were, the real treat was behind the storefront.
The back patio has a beautifully landscaped garden, complete with flowers, herbs, and vegetables, many of which are used in their homemade specialties. Even you allergy sufferers will appreciate the beauty and choose to sit outside on those sunny summer days. Whether needing a quiet place to dine alone or catch up with a friend, this venue is a great solution.
