After a day of record shopping, drinking good beer and eating, I had some time to kill and so I stopped for a last beer (or two) at the Crow Bar due to it's proximity to the last record store on my jaunt.
Turns out, it's a really nice place, with friendly staff, and a laid-back but still kind of sophisticated atmosphere. It's oriented like a "real" bar - a very long / deep and narrow place, with a classic sit-down Galaga game, mellow low lighting and interesting, good art on the walls.
I don't make it to N. Portland as much as I should, given the vibrant revival of the Alberta and Mississippi neighborhoods, but when I do get up there next, I will definitely stop back by the Crow Bar.
