Great Food, Great View, Great Service
I was going to the Newport Theatre and needed a quick bite to eat. Quimby's was right across the street so thought I'd try it. When I first walked in it looked like fine dining and I figured I was in the wrong place. But upon further investigation, everyone in the place was in jeans or sweats so I felt very comfortable. It's looks like fine dining, but with a down home feel. The food was amazing! My family loves Mo's for chowder, which I admit is good, but I'm not a bacon fan. Quimby's, in my opinion, has THE BEST chowder I've had in a long time. I also got some kind of Steamer Clam Pasta, that was HUGE and delicious! The view was spectacular as I was able to sit and dream out the window while watching the sun set on the ocean. Just talking about it makes me wanna go back. I believe that my total bill, with soup, pasta, and a drink came to around $25. A little more than I planned on spending, but well worth it!
