  1. Flying as a person and not just a number!

If you haven’t tried our new airline yet what a treat awaits you! This is such an easy, relaxing and pretty economical way to travel. I was planning on driving to a conference in Portland that started on a Sunday afternoon and ended on Tuesday at noon when my supervisor suggested that I should check into flying on SeaPort. Once I considered the mileage cost, parking fees and time, flying SeaPort was a much better way to go. Here is what my research found; total cost of my flight including airport fees, taxes etc. was $157.00; Total cost of driving including mileage and parking $238.55. My round-trip travel time including to and from the airport was 3 hours vs. 7 hours (+ if I need to stop, which I usually do on a 3.5 hour drive.)
Some fun stuff about flying SeaPort. Pilot and Co-Pilot treat you like a person that matters not just one of the herd or a number. As there is no additional flight staff they make sure you are comfortable and take personal service to a new level. You need only arrive 15 minutes before your flight, no TSA screening, no taking your shoes off etc, just a driver’s license check and a few quick questions about your luggage. The flight there was cloudy so we didn’t get much of the view but coming back it was spectacular. In fact a beautiful view of Mt. Hood was available right out the front window of the plane as we were taking off! Now that is something I have never experienced before. Both flights were smooth and landings perfect. Time on the ground on most commercial flights is usually more than20 minutes but closer to 5 on SeaPort! SeaPort had a shuttle waiting for us that took us to the main terminal upon arrival and furnished us with a phone number to call for a shuttle when we were ready to depart. We took the MAX to our downtown hotel and were there in 25 minutes. The MAX trip back to the airport was even shorter and as we had been sitting in meetings all morning we decided to walk to the SeaPort check in, which took less than 15 minutes.
My biggest worry before I took this flight was where on the airport property would I be when we landed so I have included a makeshift diagram to show you just how close to the terminal you are.
This was a great experience and a pleasurable trip indeed. I would take this flight again traveling for business or pleasure to Portland or to make a connecting flight at PDX!
