Great with kids and without

300 species, over 3000 animals from Australia and around the world. Of course they have kangaroos and koalas but the zoo is even more famous for it's orang-utans and gorillas. While the zoo was opened a while ago efforts are made to upgrade and reduce the number of cages. I you can plan your visit well in advance and you have kids consider a behind the scenes tour which is offered for several of the exhibitions.
