Get back to basics

This is a beautiful hotel where each room has an ocean-view balcony but you're sacrificing modern technology for the view. No cell reception, slow wi-fi connection and one older phone in the room that's full of static. The room is rather spacious and the balcony is huge. I just don't see how a resort / conference center can function with no cells & slow internet.
