What's Big & Blue in Schaumburg?
IKEA! My favorite Scandinavian-modern-style-furniture store. They have cool furniture, TONS of storage solutions and even a Swedish restaurant on the top floor so you never have to leave!
We're very luck to have two IKEAs in Chicagoland. This IKEA, in Schaumburg, is just north of Woodfield Mall. So easy to stay overnight and make it a shopping getaway.
The furniture is sold in flat boxes so it's easy to take home with you and most of it comes with a little allen wrench (I have a collection of them). Take a car with flat-folding seats and you'll have no problem stacking the boxes.
The store is going green so bring your own bags or be prepared to buy a large IKEA bags or pay for plastic bags.
