Toro Bravo is a great restaraunt to bring a group of friends to share good times and good food. Toro Bravo serves simply delicious Spanish food. The operative word is 'share'. Being a Spanish tapas restaurant, order approximately two to three plates per person and then share share alike. There is a dish in the small plate section which has manchego cheese and a bold port wine jelly - get it. Mostly everything on their menu is fantastic, but I suggest skipping the paella. It's one of the more expensive items at $19 (dishes range from $4 - $20). It's a very large dish and no one will go hungry, but the paella is nothing to write home about. Especially after tasting the other dishes you have ordered. (It usually comes out last.) To drink, do get the Sangria, as it seems to hit every taste bud in your mouth with a fruity bold flavor. One final thing, they do not take reservations so either get there early or prepare yourself for a wait. Depending on the day, wait time can be up to an hour. Don't fret, however, as the Wonder Cafe next door has a good selection of libations to whet your whistle while you wait.

I love how my experiences here have not changed much since the first time I went. The service is always so attentive and thorough. Even when they are very busy (pretty much all the time) they are kind and genuine. I always go close to opening, so I have never had to wait very long, and I love to sit at the bar. The staff always seem to really know the dishes, and can help guide you. It is fun to try new offerings that weren't on the menu the last time I was there, but I always have to order the marinated sheep's cheese, the tortilla espanola, and the salt cod fritters. The sangria is excellent and ordering by the pitcher can make for a reasonable date night.

Visited Toro Bravo tonight for dinner - it was very good. We waited outside for a bit, and were served a couple of cocktails until our table was ready. The chorizo and manchego with bread was excellent and we loved the pork and crab croquettes. The server recommended the lamb chops, but we weren't as impressed.
The low lighting and small tables give it a cozy ambience, and the prices are reasonable. Service could be more attentive, but overall we really enjoyed it.
