Lightest Gnocchi Ever

Alba is one of my favorite restaurants in that we can walk to it and we've always enjoyed a consistently good meal there. Last night, too tired to go downtown for dinner, we walked over to Alba and found a cozy place in the bar.

I ordered the Gnocchi with Black Truffles and Leeks and was instantly in love after one bite. All of the pastas at Alba are hand made, which makes for such light and delicate pastas.

On other occations, I've had the canneloni, which is also excellent.

A great find off the beaten path

Alba Osteria is a great find off the beaten path. Tucked off on Capital Hwy right outside of downtown, Alba offers a quaint dining experience with to die for specials and a panna cotta dessert that is heavenly. For a special occasion or a weekend dining experience, Alba gets my vote

Fabulous food and wine

We had a special 6 course chef's dinner last night, each course paired with wine. It was fantastic. The restaurant specializes in food and wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. It's the only one of its kind on the west coast. The waitstaff was attentive and very knowledgeable. The food was tasty, fresh and very authentic. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
