Tucked on top of a 2storey building in the trendy and sometimes bustling blocks on NW23, Tea Chai Te is an oasis for tealovers and other people who are looking for a relaxing spot to unwind.
The tea shop was conceived by students from Univ of Oregon and a small idea coupled with great business skills has rewarded them handsomely. I have taken several friends and visitors to this place and they are all praise for the selection of teas, the ambience, friendliness of staff and overall pleasant experience.
The tea shop also houses paperbacks and boardgames which you are welcome to take outside onto their porch if you choose to sip tea and watch shoppers enjoy dessert at Papa Haydn's across the street.
If you are a chai lover like me, definitely go for the RainForest Chai and Kashmiri Chai. Most Indians (like me) find it hard to get a proper cup of chai (Starbucks chai pales in comparison). This joint has several chais to suit your every taste !
Take a date, take friends or simply catch up on your reading after curling into their comfy chairs surrounded by works from local artists. This is one oasis you'll surely enjoy!

This is in the upstairs part of the building. Lounge around with your friends in their comfy chairs. Take advantage of their free wi-fi. Try their extensive list of tea (oolong is my favorite)! Beware though, it gets busy on the weekends...
