Pepper-Salted Squid for Days!

If you are a fan of pepper-salted squid, you may know that these crispy bites are not all created equal around the city of Portland. I have, over the years, tried this salty, oniony, peppery treat in many places and have decied, hands down, that Tien Hong is THE place for pepper-salted squid. Fresh out of the wok, tossed with sweet onions, crisp with only a hint of chewiness, peppered, salted, sublime, irresistable! The portions are huge, service fast (although aloof...which leaves you more time to savor the squid and avoid any chit-chat) and prices are on the cheaper side. In short, try it if you haven't. Keep going back if you like it. Closed on Mondays but OPEN LATE on other days.
