Wow, is the bread big. They bring out your pita bread for the whole table in one big round and ours was large enough for a small child to shelter under. We liked the hummus, shawerma and falafel. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table for five on a Sunday night. The place is casual and comfortable, a good place for a group of people to go when they want to talk and laugh a lot without drawing attention to themselves. The service was very friendly. The waitress forgot my tea order and when I pointed it out, she was very apologetic and gave me a free baklava.

A small family-friendly restaurant located just outside of downtown, this place has a true Portland feel. The menu is packed with Middle Eastern goodies including humus, bab ghanoug , kibbeh, and the most delicious lebanese salad and rice pudding you can find! Beware- the portions are rather large.
The service is great, but the place is small and always packed, so be prepared to wait.
I found the menu at http://www.allmenus.com/menus/6490/Nicholas-Restaurant- this site seems to have menus to most of the good places around town.
