One doesn't go to Local Boyz for their ambience. It's a pretty straightforward restaurant. Apart from a few posters, there's not a lot of decor. One does go to Local Boyz for the food which is plentiful and tasty! I really enjoy the beef and the macaroni salad in the plate lunches. The ribs are pretty tasty, too. My one complaint is that they don't offer any desserts and there's no alcohol. Still, I'd recommend Local Boyz for an authentic Hawaiian cuisine experience.

Yesterday I was struck by a craving that was unmistakable. It was the yearning for chicken and macaroni salad covered in the patented "Da Sauce," of Local Boyz. This establishment has been a college students haven since I was a freshman (five years ago). i try to make it a point that any friends or family who come to visit me stop by this unique restaurant. I would recommend the combination plate, consisting of chicken, steak, ribs, rice, and macaroni salad , to any person that truly wants to have the Local Boyz experience. Try to hit this place up at off hours of the day, lunches and dinners means lines out the door.

Some friends of ours recommended this place to us a few years ago and ended up loving it. It's not about the atmosphere or service - it's about the great food. Lots of food! All of the meats are really good so I usually get the #7 which is like a sampler. The rice and macaroni salad that comes as sides are also really good.
