Hamley's Steakhouse

Great food and good service; what more can I say. Except the atmosphere is fantastic. The interior design brings back the days of grand dinning halls with beautiful wood interior finish and trim, stained glass lighting and copper accents with a barrel vaulted pressed tin ceilings. Not to mention of course a really cool saloon right out of a western; a really nice western.

My dinner was very good; the cut of beef was ample in size and very tender I all most forgot I had a knife. We were a party of eight and the staff got most of our meals out at the same time. We did wait a bit for our food but when it came out we were not disappointed. I enjoyed my spinach salad.

The have a good selection wine with prices of what you might expect in a better restaurant($$$). It's not inexpensive to dine there but I would go again. We all had a good time and enjoyed our meals.

wonderful experience

I think you'd be hard pressed to find any other property like this anywhere in the northwest. Hamley Steakhouse is truly unique. The ambiance is upscale western. You can have a first class steak in the restaurant, or a 'can't beat the price' meal during happy hour in the bar. Dressy or casual, you will be comfortable. The beef is definitely the highlight of the menu, but salads and sandwich's are great as well. I eat here frequently (especailly during happy hour!), and I always find it a wonderful experience.

Nice but........

We expected a lot more. The food was average and the service was less than average. The building and decor are first rate but they need to work on the actual reason fro the people being there, fine dining.
