This has to be the best beer ever!
Christian has done it again. After creating great beer for Laurelwood brewery he has own place now the beer is even better. Something I thought just wasn't possible.

One of the newest (and longest awaited) breweries in Portland, Hopworks Urban Brewery presents organically brewed beer and an environmentally and organic-conscious food menu. The interior is trendy and industrial, with used bike parts scattered thoughout the decor. It's the perfect place to chill with friends if you want a casual beer drinking atmosphere. The line-up of beer tends to vary, and its best to ask for samples before ordering an entire pint.

Hopworks is just what SE Portland needed. A large, open, brand-new building with space desiegned for families w/ small children. The decor speaks to the cyclists and is very cool. The staff (with one awful exception) is very friendly and service-oriented. Our first server noticed I hadn't finished my salad and inquired wether I had liked it; I'm certain she was offering to not charge us but I didn't finish it beacuase their dang french fries were so good I ate them instead. The food is organic, as is the their brew , and is really, really good. Their happy hour draws a really nice crowd and the atmosphere is widely pleasing.
