Feast on roasted corn and warm cider then pick your pumpkin at Kruger’s Farm on Sauvie Island. Visit the farm and you'll find a market, canning supplies, farm animals and the freshest local produce around. Phil's grill is now open on weekends serving up great farm fare and BBQ.

I visited Kruger's on a Wednesday afternoon with some friends the other week, and ended up with a ton of delicious strawberries.
Kruger's is easy to find - right off the main road not long after crossing the bridge onto the island. Parking is ample, although it would be nice if they had a large sign for their main barn (unless I missed it). Bathrooms are outside - either port-o-johns or in a small barn.
Wagons, cardboard boxes and pint baskets are available for use when picking. There are two main strawberry patches - we went to the one farther away from the road. The strawberries weren't huge, but we found plenty of ripe berries.
After picking, we went to the barn to check out, and picked up more produce from their wide selection. They also have sauces, dressings, and other items like decorative baskets.
I'll be heading back for blueberry season!
