Esplanade

Eastbank_people_small

Opened in May 2001, this 1.5 mile corridor extends along the east side of downtown Portland’s Willamette River, affording spectacular views of the city. Seating walls, benches, overlooks, and small plaza areas offer places to stop, relax and enjoy. Boat docks and public artworks are also featured.

Savoy for your soul

The Savoy Restaurant in SE is a classic example of a Portland neighborhood restaurant - one of the things that makes the city great. So many great, small and intimate resturants to choose from. The Savoy has an interesting menu, great service and it just nails the portland vibe. Hard to go wrong at the Savoy!

Springwater Trail

A great paved trail for walking/running/cycling that slices clear through SE portland and beyond. Connects with other trails and can be made into a loop of the entire metro area for an ambitious cyclist.

Only drawback is the bumpy condition of the trail in places can wear on your bum if cycling.
