Beer, pub grub & football. Can life get any better?

If you're ever in the mood to catch the atmosphere of an English pub--albeit with a Northwestern twist---head over to the Thirsty Lion where an assortment of British beers on tap along with pub fare awaits.

The place does tend to be packed during the English Premier league or major international tournaments and while service can be a bit slow, the food and the atmosphere are definitely worth the wait.

Beyond sports, the pub is also a haven for music and is a great place to catch up and coming independent musicians (every Tuesday!)

Good for sports

I stopped counting when I got to 10 flatscreen TVs that hang in every possible angel in this pub / sportsbar. The location is great and draws a good lunch crowd, the portions however are not huge. Nothing wrong with that but when appetizers like nachos are $9 one would hope that they feed more than one.
