La Buca is a great italian restaurant tucked into NE Portland. This small venue is a cozy place for some real, authentic Italian food. The portions are generous and very reasonable. I reccomend the Puttanesca or the Pasta Al Forno. Those are our favorites. The desserts are great too!

Great family friendly place in the 28th food strip. Fresh, affordable food...a deaful sort of place when you want something afforable and reliably good. Attentive waitstaff and simple but tasty dishes. There is a bar in the back that's 21+, but the rest of the restaurant is not and they are very family friendly. Cheap main eats (try the maiale, or the pesto, or any of the baked dishes), great salads, decent wines, great salad.
