I stumbled upon the Bakery Bar when I was just
thumbing through a Portland Monthly magazine. What caught my eye was the part about having
fantastic cupcakes...Let me tell you they are more than
artistic cakes and cupcakes! I met a friend there before the noon rush and got the best bacon-cheddar-chive scone! I also got a mocha that was somewhere
close to heaven. The barista made the most beautiful
swirl pattern, I hated to drink it. However, knowing they used their own bourbon carmel and mocha sauces, I had to have a taste....oooooohhhh...sooo yummy. I have
been back many times and I cant get enough of the
other desserts either. If you want more than a few
cupcakes, you better order ahead....they dont give out
a dozen to just anybody! I havent gotten past the desserts, but the organic lunch menu looked fantastic, and the line at lunch was out the door! The place is off the beaten path, but you wont regret it!

Nice little quiet cafe near OMSI. They serve sandwiches from noon until 3pm. Also nice desserts from their bakery.
Great Espresso Bar and their specialty is the "Forklift" which is a cup of regular coffee with a shot of espresso.
They have a free WiFi access point, look for the access code on the menuboard.
