Portland's best full-service BBQ! Featuring all natual meats & scratch cooking. Top rated on Citysearch, Willamette Weeks' Cheap Eats pick. Vegetarian friendly, Local beer.
We've eaten here many times and have yet to be disappointed. My husband always gets the pulled pork and I usually get the ribs which melt in your mouth and loaded with the sauce of your choice. Their Virgina Mustard is superb, a little salty, a little spicy with just the right tang. Portions are plentiful and they come with typical BBQ accompaniments - super creamy mac n cheese, greens, beans. And don't forget to pick up a home made praline on your way out.

Last night my family including my 13 month old ate at Russell street for the first time. They have their own parking and were very good to my toddler. We ate pulled pork, ribs and all the sides and although it was a highly messy, it ws good. Lots of things to keep my daughter busy without having to resort to a chain restaurant.

I am not the big expert on Southern cuisine but you do not have to be an expert to like this food. Located just off MLK this restaurant offers a long selection of smoked and grilled ribs, pork, chicken and fish as well as daily specials like catfish or meatloaf. If you happen to be on the East side and want to try something different in a warm and welcoming set-up then give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
