Mahalo

Where can you find the best tasting food from the Hawaiian Islands? Why Bamboo Grove Hawaiian Grille of course! I promise you will leave totally satisfied. My favorite dish is the combination platter with Kihei Ribs and Teriyaki Pork or Beef. If there's a line to get in, I highly encourage you to wait...you will be glad you did. BTW, there is live music every Friday. This is a tropical experience you will definately remember! Hang Loose

Best Authentic Hawaiian Food

Bamboo Grove offers authentic Hawaiian food for anyone who craves shoyu chicken, pulled pork and macaroni salad! Kawika is one of the owners - a true blood Hawaiian at that - and they pride themselves on providing the best Hawaii has to offer in Portland. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with a bit of local (island) music to make you feel like you're really in the islands.

Best Hawaiian food in town

This is by far my favorite Hawaiian restaurant in town. Authentic, yummy, Hawaiian comfort food. Live Hawaiian music Thursdays - Saturdays and the Bamboo Room in the back is campy, but awesome.

Everything on the menu is tasty, but some of my favorites include the Korean chicken, Korean ribs, Kalbi ribs and the Teriyaki pork. Best Teri Pork ever! One of the more unique items on the menu is Loco Moco. This is true Hawaiian comfort food IMO. It's rice on the bottom, a seasoned ground beef patty covered with brown gravy and topped off with a fried egg. Order it sloppy and you get more yummy gravy. It's the best!

The staff is very nice there, and the place is usually jumpin', so don't expect everyone to slow down just for you. There's "island time" and then there's "holy cow, the line's out the front door." If you go for lunch, I recommend going after 12:30 p.m.

I can't say enough good things about the Grove. You just have to go and experience it yourself to find out what the buzz is all about!
